Boys and girls ages 9-14 tested their basketball skills at free Spurs 2ball skills competitions during February and March 2008. Spurs 2ball is a game in which two-person teams shoot for 60 seconds from numbered spots on the floor. If a shot is made, the team receives points based on the value of the spot. All participants received a coupon good for a discounted Spurs game ticket. Highest scoring teams in each age/gender category at the preliminary competition sites received a Spurs 2ball tee shirt and advanced to a city-wide semi-final competition held on March 3rd. The two top scoring teams in each of four age/gender categories at the semi-finals competed for the 2008 Spurs 2ball Championships prior to the Spurs vs. Clippers game in the AT&T Center on Wednesday, March 26th.
