Frank Martin, President and Founder has been training
volunteer coaches and assisting youth leagues in Texas
since
1983. Prior to that he served in the USAF where, in his last
assignment, he was the officer in charge of all Air Force
youth and child development programs. In 1991 he created
the
Kids Sports Network and one of Frank's creations, the Spurs
Drug-Free Youth Basketball League, has 20,000 participants
throughout South Texas and received a
coveted "Point of Light" from President Bush in 1992. Considered
by many as the most knowledgeable person on youth sports
in
the state, Frank was named a "1998 San Antonio Hometown Hero" for
his years of service to the youth of his community. In 2006
Frank was named the Express-News
Sportsman of the Year and
honored at the annual San Antonio Sports Foundation's Hall
of Fame banquet.
Frank and the board lead a dedicated and friendly staff
with the support of an active board of community minded
leaders. The Kids Sports Network is 501(c)(3) organization
governed by this dedicated board of directors.
